BROLab

Once Brabant Water had collected the well data, they looked for a way to deliver it easily. Van Heumen: "It was difficult to make deliveries to the BRO via our own business processes. We didn't have the ICT knowledge for that. The BRO Implementation Team then brought us into contact with Igor Medizabal. That's how this collaboration came about."

Igor Mendizabal representing BROLab at Realworld Systems: "I have been following the BRO since 2009. For about four years, big steps have been taken. For example, we were already affiliated and participated in the software supplier consultation and think along about standards. We then saw that there was not yet a tool for entering data about groundwater monitoring wells into the BRO. I then proposed to the BRO programme that they make that tool."

"BROLab is a web-based application and actually made for 1 source holder. They had to be able to type in data and send it to the Source Owner Portal. The question soon arose of being able to convert entire Excel files into XML language, so that a large number of wells could be delivered to the Source Owner Portal at once. Then came Brabant Water, who wanted to deliver the data from their own system. It was the first time we had a company that wanted to deliver for 20 source holders. Then we built a management system around it. BROLab is now a connection tool. You can continue to use your own database. So you will soon be able to use it to deliver your measurement data for water levels and quality."
